Two important surveys—one conducted by Pew Research and the other by Blackberry—showed how workers benefit from mobile device usage within the workplace. In those same surveys, many respondents point to battery life as a major concern. When in use, most smartphones today have a battery life of approximately five and a half hours. That’s hours short of the standard work day, and with the hours people tend to work now, that amount of battery life falls much shorter.
Companies must be aware of this issue, and provide a means for employees to charge their devices without having to bring chargers to work or purchase an additional charger.
